When we had our pipes repaired in our housing cooperative some time ago, we painted our floors white, which gave us the inspiration to renew some of our furniture. So the Finnish design -theme is still going strong in our decor: we changed the birch Artek benches to black, our dining room is now lit with black A110 (pictured above) designed by Alvar Aalto to Artek and our hallway in turn with  Lisa Johansson-Pape's Bulbo pendant light. 

We chose Ilmari Tapiovaara's all black Kiki for our dining table and coffee table, as well as for our dining chairs the Domus chairs by Tapiovaara. 

These purchases will last for decades..

Putkiremontin yhteydessä kotimme lattiat maalattiin valkoisiksi, mikä antoi kimmokkeen uusia huonekaluja. Niinpä suomalainen design-teema jatkuu sisustuksessamme: koivunväriset Artekin ritiläpenkit vaihtuivat mustiin, ruokahuonetta valaisee nykyisin Alvar Aallon Artekille suunnittelema musta A110 (kuvassa) ja eteistä puolestaan Lisa Johansson-Papen Bulbo-riippuvalaisin. 

Ruokapöydäksi ja kahvipöydäksi valikoituivat Ilmari Tapiovaaran kokomustat Kiki-pöydät ja ruokatuoleiksi Tapiovaaran Domus-tuolit.
