I sent the wallet back, of course

I exchanged dollars for our trip. It feels strange to ponder about exhange rates and the value of the money, after beeing used to the easyness of euros when travelling in Europe.

And, when you arrive, there is still the tipping practices, to which to survive from there are advices right and left.. :)

Essential thing when waiting for a bus or a tram to arrive is to intensively stare into the direction of coming vehicle. It is possible, that the staring makes the vehicle arrive more quickly.

Sometimes it is difficult to tell apart a bus from a tram. In a blizzard a bus resembles tram and vice versa. There is a solution to this problem: a general term. A bus/tram can be called bum or tras. You can use these terms always, no matter which one is coming and you are always correct. Whilst waiting you can hum about bum and tras. And the time just flies by.

Oleellisena osana raitiovaunun ja bussin odottamiseen kuuluu intensiivinen tuijotus odotettavan kulkuvälineen tulosuuntaan. On mahdollista, että tuijotus saa välineen saapumaan nopeammin.

Joskus kulkuvälineitä voi olla vaikea erottaa toisistaan. Lumipyryssä bussi ja ratikka näyttävät hyvinkin samankaltaisilta. Tähänkin hätään on ratkaisu: yleisnimitys. Bussi/ratikka on siis butikka tai rassi. Näitä nimityksiä voit käyttää huoleti, sillä on ihan sama, kumpi väline on tulossa, olet aina oikeassa. Odotellessa voi hyräillä laulua butikasta ja rassista. Näin odottavan aika ei käy pitkäksi.
