One of my co-workers mentioned, that isn’t it strange, that some people don’t realize, that almost everyone that comes in contact with them, dislikes them? And yes, I think it’s strange. One would think, that when someone is having arguments & disagreements left and right, that that would be a wake-up call. But apparently not.

I had quite the time reading this post by Finnish writer Katri Manninen. She had a revelation one day and came to think, how she has been perceived by others in the past.. That post really proves my point and describes the thoughts of one not so liked..

I was talking about this same subject with my mother in law (like I had talked about this subject with my co-workers) and we talked about the characteristics that people find extremely irritating and unbearable in people. At least these were mentioned:

The User
The Abuser
Negative-Nelly
Arguer
Criticiser
The One That Puts Others Down
Opportunist
Two-Faced
Lazy
The One That Is Always Correct
Liar

Yksi työtovereistani mainitsi, että eikö olekin outoa, miten jotkut ihmiset eivät huomaa, että lähes kaikki ihmiset, jotka tulevat tekemisiin heidän kanssaan, eivät pidä heistä? Ja kyllä, se on minusta outoa. Luulisi asiaan heräävän viimeistään siinä vaiheessa, kun on erimielisyyksissä ja riidoissa vähän sinne sun tänne. Mutta ilmeisesti näin ei ole.

Asiaan liittyen satuin lukemaan kirjailija Katri Mannisen blogikirjoituksen. Eräänä päivänä hän heräsi huomaamaan, kuinka muut olivat hänet nähneet aiemmin.. Kirjoitus kuvaa juuri tällaisen ei-niin-pidetyn ihmisen ajatuksia.

Keskustelin tästä samasta aiheesta myös anoppini kanssa ja puhuimme (kuten olin puhunut työtovereideni kanssa) niistä luonteenpiirteistä, jotka ihmiset kokevat toisissa erittäin ärsyttävinä ja sietämättöminä. Ainakin nämä saivat mainintoja:
